Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I book a table?

A. The easiest way to book your table at Doci Visi is to fill out the reservation form on our home page HERE.

Otherwise please call us on 01277 202722, or send us an email to docirestaurant@outlook.com and include your name, table size, date, time, contact number and any allergy or intolerances information for your table.

Q. Are you open on Bank Holidays/Christmas Day etc.

A. We are currently not open on Monday's, therefore will not be open on bank holiday's that fall on Monday's, and our Festive Opening Hours will be released in October 2023

Q. Do you cater for vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free?

A. Yes, our menu identifies V = Vegetarian, Ve = Vegan, GF = Gluten-Free

Q. Are other allergens identified on the menu?

A. Other allergens are NOT identified on the menu, however all ingredients are listed, so PLEASE check with a member of staff prior to ordering, if you have any allergies or intolerances (or anyone on your table does), so that the waitress/waiter or member of staff can advise you.

Q. Are gluten-free and the main food allergens prepared and contained separately?

A. Yes, all of the top 14 allergens, including gluten are prepared and contained separately. The Food Standards Agency state the 14 major allergens are: Celery, Cereals (containing gluten - including: rye, spelt, barley oats, baking powder), Crustaceans (crab, lobster, prawns, scampi), Eggs, Fish, Lupin (found in some flours and seeds), Milk (butter, cream, cheese, milk powders, yoghurt), Molluscs (mussels, land snails, squid, whelks, oyster sauces, fish stew), Mustard (liquid mustard, mustard powder, mustard seeds), Nuts (tree grown nuts; cashews, almonds, hazelnuts etc) Peanuts (grown underground, inc; groundnut oil, peanut powder), Sesame Seeds, Soya (found in edamame beans, bean curd, miso, soya protein, tofu) and Sulphur Dioxide aka Sulphites (an ingredient often found in dried fruits, or meat, soft drinks, vegetables, wine and beer).

Q. Do you have a children's menu?

A. Yes we do have a children's menu, which can be seen on our website at the bottom of the 'Menu' page - See here Children's Menu

Q. Is the restaurant accessible for disabled customers?

A. Unfortunately the restaurant is on the first floor, and we do NOT currently have a lift to get upstairs from the main entrance. We apologise if this is affecting your ability to visit our restaurant, and we hope this is something we can amend in the future.

Q. Do you cater for large parties?

A. Yes, we would ask for a £10 deposit per person for parties of 10 people or more. We can cater up to 50 people at one time. If you are interested in reserving the entire or part of the restaurant for a party please call 01277 202722 and ask for Visi or Libby to discuss any party enquires. 

Q. Is service charge included on the bill?

A. If we have added at 10% service charge on to your bill, this will be shown at the bottom of your paper bill. If you have any problems with your bill please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff to assist you.

Q. Do you get tips if I pay by card?

A. We do get tips, however we are taxed on these tips as we cannot distinguish between the bill and tips on our card machine. 

Q. Do you have a private room for small parties?

A. Yes we do have a smaller room that could cater for up to 15 people, this room would need to be reserved prior to the date required and a £10 deposit per head would be requested.

Q. Will you stay open later than your opening hours for a bigger group?

A. Yes we would be happy to stay open to serve alcohol and desserts. Our kitchen shuts at 22.30pm, and our bar shuts at 23.00, but if all food and drinks are ordered prior to this, we are able to remain open. This does not include New Years Eve, where we can serve alcohol until Midnight.

Q. Am I able to bring a cake for my wife/husband/family member/friend's birthday/anniversary etc?

A. Yes, you can bring a cake, and we generally supply candles. We can also make a dessert especially for your party member, we just ask that you please discuss with a member of staff before the day of your reservation.

Q. Can I bring my own alcohol?

A. We do not allow customers to bring their own alcohol, we have a premises licence and can serve alcohol within our licenced times.

Q. Is there parking nearby?

A. On street parking is allowed after 6pm Monday-Saturday and all day Sunday. Otherwise there are ample carparks close by, including the Multi-storey Coptfold Road Car Park (card only), or Chatham Way Car Park (cash only)
